To my three people who call me “mom”, if there is anyone who pushes me to dream bigger, stand taller and try harder, it is you! If I can show you anything, don't follow your dreams, chase after them!
Why did I choose this path? Because our children only get one childhood. And that “why” is my mission.
As an elected Catholic School Trustee, Brea Corbet has engaged in the school activities of the sixteen (16) Catholic school communities she serves in Mississauga North in Wards 9 and 10.
Prior to Trustee Corbet's election to municipal office in 2018, she was an active parent volunteer for all school events, extracurricular excursions and various classroom activities with her own children's schools. She also enjoyed being involved as a School Lunch Supervisor. With enthusiasm for student health and advocacy for physical activity through the Ontario Catholic Curriculum, she has also been an engaged parent volunteer for intramural sports programming in our schools.
Brea Corbet is a dedicated mom to three school-aged children who currently attend the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. She is passionate about advocating for Catholic Education, supporting the faith formation of students and elevating the voice of parents to make a difference for her family and yours.
Inspired to create healthier school communities with heart, she is also a Regulated Healthcare Professional working in public health and throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Her experience working in both hospital and community health programs, makes her passionate about healthier families and schools.
Brea continues to advocate on behalf of all families, champions school initiatives for mental health and physical wellness and supports academic success for student achievement.
Brea Corbet takes pride in giving back to the local communities that she serves in Mississauga, in Wards 9 and 10. Catholic faith communities and strong connections between church, school and home are important to support families in raising their children.
Brea has actively served as a volunteer through various Catholic church ministries, including First Communion Sacramental Preparation at St. Josephine Bakhita Church and the Children's Ministry at Merciful Redeemer Parish in Mississauga.
Whether she's cheering on her children at the local hockey rinks, coaching the youth soccer league, supporting the local food bank at Eden Food For Change, helping with community litter clean ups or participating in other city events, Mississauga is where she calls home! And home is where the heart is.
